AT&T Internet Setup in New Construction

Hi

I purchased a new construction house last week and had called AT&T to come over and install the router, the wiring and cables are all at the property already.

However, the AT&T call service can't place an order for me, explaining that although the house shows up as valid, their technicians didn't facilitate the wiring in the community yet.

I was told there is no ETA for when that is due.

I would have understood if I only needed the internet for pleasure, however, my wife and I both work from home, we can't go anywhere else for the internet, and we need the connection in our house so we could literally have the required income to pay our mortgage.

I've explained all of that to numerous agents, but no one can help.

Can someone here please come up with a solution for this? hotspot isn't suitable as it's not fast enough in this area, AND no other competition is available in the area as well, only AT&T is but it seems like they don't want anyone's business. They're really making this difficult.

What does your contractor say?  Will they complain if you put up a sign in your front yard saying "NO INTERNET AVAILABLE HERE!!"

Can any homes in the new development have service?

If all outside work is not completed from PFP placement, splitters in PFP install/activated, major fiber incomplete, waiting on terminals and or pedestal/ hand hole to be installed could be 30 to 90 days.

Order FWA from T-Mobile or Verizon and plan on having a redundancy ISP such as the FWA to provide service as backup after ATT internet installed. Average repair times can be 3 to 5 days, if both working from home need that redundancy.
