AT&T Sales People

Your awful “subcontractor” door-to-door sales (Edited per community guidelines) are stalking my neighborhood like feral jackals, even sniffing out people in their own back yards. I gather from multiple posts in this forum, that AT&T has been harassing people with their low-quality human subs for years. What expected qualifications does AT&T put in an ad to attract the rudest individuals possible? It's hard to imagine the return-on-expense for these flush-worthy doorbell ding dongers is actually positive for the company.  They are doing more harm than good. I wish I was an existing AT&T customer just so I could cancel service with your company.

Submit a BBB complaint. If you have the name of the 3rd party dealer those sales people work for then make sure they are listed on the complaint. If your neighborhood has no soliciting listed, remind those sellers of the fact and if needed contact the police.

Not 'our' company as this is a public forum of other consumers. For official support you call.

Here are some key phrases to use:

No thank you

I’m not interested

I appreciate the information

I don’t think so

NO!

One would think words like "no" might work.  Even when they are bold and capitalized and preceded by other words emphasizing "no".  But they don't seem to understand that word since it doesn't pay them.  I wonder what one of them would be willing to do to the other one if I offered him $5.

As you stated, they are "sub-contractors" which means that they don't work directly for AT&T. They are like the Authorized Retail Stores or the kiosks you see in places like Target, Costco, Sam's Club, etc. They just resell AT&T goods and services by working for someone else on a commission so they are aggressive.

The AT&T sponsored harassers at Costco don't do their harassment - I mean authorized reselling of AT&T goods and services - on people's porches and in their backyards like the authorized AT&T resellers sent to neighborhoods.

That doesn't really make any sense. If retail operators, whether they are in a brick and mortar store, in a kiosk in someplace like Target, or door to door don't work for AT&T, but do resell their products on a commission, AT&T has no control over them. They should have but the way these long term contracts are written, they don't. It is a shame that AT&T didn't think about this before these resell operations were setup but apparently they didn't. And it does nothing but further tarnish AT&T which doesn't need anybody's help in doing that. They do quite well by themselves.
