Can we please, Please get AT&T Fiber at 1619 N La Brea Ave

I have been waiting for years for ATT Fiber to be installed in my neighborhood and building. I check at least once a month ever since ATT announced they were rolling out Fiber internet. The only ATT internet available is the 100Mbps, which falters and it not useable for our needs. We tried it and had to run back to Spectrum for their Gig. I would rather leave Sepctfum in a heartbeat, but I need the speeds and connections.

Please, please, can we get Fiber to the 90036 area and at 1619 N La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, 90028 (I know the zip codes are fun in this neighborhood)

That’s not helpful at all. That’s the same canned, cop out response I’ve been getting for years.
please, please, please install fiber in Hollywood. Get it to the 90036/90028 area. We’re close to everything. Many will signup and use it.

90036 has both IPBB which includes FTTN (Fiber To The Node) internet 100 and FTTP (premise, internet 300+). Combined coverage is about 49% of addresses… 51% has no ATT hardwired option.

Similar 90028 has both IPBB and Fiber with combined total around 72% of addresses.

https://broadbandnow.com/California/Los-Angeles?zip=90028

Not all addresses will receiver fiber upgrade by current 5 year build out that ends in 2025. Only half of total Uverse platform hardwired addresses are expected to receive fiber by this completion date. This is 30+ million within 21 states, meaning another 30+ million will not be upgraded by January 2026.

While ATT has not made an official announcement I am expecting a 3rd phase 5 year build out from 2026 to 2030.

The first phase was 2016 to 2020 teaching 15 million address and the 2nd phase 2021 to 2025 is scheduled to reach another 15 million. In comparison Uverse FTTN reached 33 million (speeds 25 to 100) and Uverse ADSL2+ (speeds 18 or less) reached 24 million by end of 2015. This is 57 million Uverse hardwired platform addresses not including all new construction developments since start 2016 ( will estimate 3+ million). Yet only half or 30+ million will have FTTP within next 2 years. As of July 2023 over 25 million address have been completed leaving 5 million to have service out of 35 million eligible.

The only sure way is relocation to an address where service already exists, or wait for and IF / WHEN moment that has a 15% chance of happening within next two years. And if ATT adds a 3rd 5 year build out, internet 100 upgraded

should be 100% by 2030.

By the way my address is internet 50, zip code has 15,000 addresses with currently about 6000 having fiber… if another 1500 is upgraded out zip code would reach that 50% or 7500 out of 15k. Some zip codes are over 80% and other currently less than 20% coverage.

Note, I have been waiting over a decade.  ATT stopped DSL many many years ago.  But it may come at some point, in Oklahoma I just got the email 2 days ago about it finally being available.
