Fiber Installation

Fiber is installed in the POP at the end of my driveway. Most of my neighbors are using AT&T Fiber.  I have been trying to get Fiber installed at my house for a year now.  In fact, when a local AT&T Technician is in my neighborhood, if they see me, they always ask me why I have DSL and have not upgraded to Fiber.  It is sad that my answer is always; "Because AT&T Sales says my address is not eligible for Fiber". The Fiber POP is on MY PROPERTY (Easement) yet I cannot have the service.  Does this make any sense to anyone?

Is your address listed as being on a different street, such as around the corner?

Neighbors addresses to immediate left and right can order fiber when checking their addresses online?

My driveway is also a Private Street, there are three houses on the Driveway/Private Street.  The Fiber POP is 2 feet to the left of the end of the Driveway/Private Street. All the addresses in my neighborhood qualify for Fiber except those of us on the Driveway/Private Street.  All three houses on the Driveway/Private Street want and have attempted to order Fiber.  All of the families on the Driveway/Private Street have been asked by local AT&T Technicians if they want to upgrade to Fiber since it is on our Driveway/Private Street. You (AT&T) refuse to install it, even though your local technicians are trying to upsell it to us and tell us it's available.

ChrisM,

I've done that about 10 times already, NO help what-so-ever.

I need to be able to talk to a local Manager who can actually come out, see the FIber POP on my property (easement), and authorize someone to install to our houses. Your policy of hiding the contact information of local Managers that can actually help is costing AT&T at least 3 new Customers that I know of.  What is even more frustrating is that I have been a loyal AT&T Customer for over 40 years and AT&T refuses to help me.

Sara,

No one is listening to me. FIBER IS AVAILABLE IN MY AREA, IT'S ON MY PROPERTY. No matter how many times I call, chat, or email, you tell me it's not available. I have even complained enough to have a technician sent to my house and the technician told me Fiber was available but no one will create a "Ticket" to install it.

STOP giving me the same ole' song and dance and just give the local guys permission to INSTALL

Just to keep anyone who was following this thread up to date, I still have Fiber located at the end of my driveway and AT&T still refuses to install it in my home because their "computer" says my address does not qualify.

The local technicians say it's available and can be installed, but they can't install it without a work order and I can't get a work order because the "system" say it's unavailable.

Sounds like your homes were not included in the original fiber build out. About all you can do is file an FCC complaint or BBB complaint. Are there any handholds in front of the three homes?
