Fiber Internet coming to my area this month
Over the past couple weeks I’ve talked to 5 people from AT&T about getting Fiber Internet at my address, & literally every person I talked to, assured & promised (I have chat transcripts) me that Fiber is coming to my area/address (I live in a rural/country area where no good internet is provided so I keep assuring with AT&T that it’s coming cuz I still can’t believe Fiber is coming in this area) & will be ready by the first week of March to the end of March, well today I chatted with someone to get an update because I seen a really good deal at Best Buy on an Orbi router so I ordered it before the deal ended & so I’d have it for when I get Fiber this month like I was promised, but the person I talked to was telling me that they have no info or an ETA on when it’ll be ready, so I don’t know if I was lied to previously by 5 people at AT&T or the person I talked to didn’t know anything, AT&T won’t respond on Facebook or Twitter, but I guess I’ll just have to wait & see what’s going on, I might be returning my $300 router before the return deadline if I won’t get to use it lol. I was also wanting to see if any techs have any info on here

Okay thank you, but I don't think that map is very reliable, my city is not listed on there, but there are homes in my city that are able to get Fiber. I don’t remember seeing techs installing lines, but I did started noticing orange flags in my neighborhood and area that say “ATT/D Buried Cable”, could that mean Fiber cables are installed near me? And also, why would multiple AT&T employees tell me the same info if they don't have access to this information? These are a some of my chat transcripts -
ATT1: In this case my system is registering me that this location has already wired the fiber, however the service is not activated yet. ME: What does that mean? I can get Fiber soon? ATT1: This means that the fiber wire does not have the connection for this service yet, and for the moment, the activation for this one is for the end of March. Until that moment, your location will be able to get the fiber service. ME: So my address will be able to get Fiber Internet by the end of March? ATT1: Yes you are totally correct! This is what I have registered at the moment. This date could change and be near that what we are expecting.
ATT2: As the previous agent very well said we have wires in your zone and the service should be ready by the end of March. ME: And this is 100% for sure? I should be able to get AT&T Fiber Internet by the end of March, at my address? ATT2: Currently that's the date scheduled on the system. It can be before that if everything goes really well 🙂
ATT3: Thank you for your time, I was checking in my system and it shows me your address as "Fiber is coming", it means that technicians would be installing Fiber at your location, between months March and April.
