Getting fiber across the street

So here’s the thing. If I put in our address, there’s no fiber available.

right out our front door is a T intersection. If I put in an address on that street, they have fiber. That address is maybe a hundred yards away.

I have a big bag of money I would be willing to throw at AT&T to make this happen. But nobody I talk to there seems willing or able to take it from me.

Hi @nsayer,

Thank you for using AT&T Community Forums! We understand that you are interested in getting fiber internet at your address, and we'd be happy to assist you with this!

AT&T Fiber is the fastest overall internet provider, with symmetrical speeds up to 5 Gbps.

Please check availability for fiber with your address and our team will reach out to you. You can also go through our AT&T coverage map. You can also sign up to be notified when Fiber internet service is available at your address.

For more information about Fiber availability, we recommend visiting our article that discusses AT&T Internet availability and your home in greater detail. You'll learn about why Fiber may not be available at the moment and when it's expanded to your area.

We hope this information helps!

Jennifer, AT&T Community Specialist.

Intersections are a normal boundary for most Fiber areas. Could you explain in a little more detail where your house sits in relation to the nearest address the qualifies for AT&T Fiber?

You indicated that the other address even though it was close was physically on another street. Do any addresses on your street qualify for AT&T Fiber?

Right now your only 100% option would be AT&T Dedicated Internet Access ( a business offering )

Note: Pricing of DIA might impact your big bag of money as Fiber 1000 is $1495.00 per month and requires a 2 year contract.

The big bag of money is for one-time installation costs. And, frankly, it would only be available until Spectrum supports DOCSIS 4.

tick tick, AT&T.

Show the big bag to a realtor,  perhaps they can find one of 24+ million addresses where ATT is already available such as across the street... or wait another 2 years to see if ATT fiber will come to you.

6+ million more will be upgraded out of estimated 36+ million waiting. New greenfield construction within ATT 21 state footprint has the best chances.
