Was I lied to about my internet?

I have been trying so hard to get fiber optic internet and finally last year att rolled out gigapower in my city but of course att says it's not available at my apartment yet but I talked to a salesman today and he set me up for an install this Friday with what he claims of fiber optic att internet. He called it power or internet 45 and he said it's 45 down and 45 up and will be fiber optic. I tried looking this package up and all I can find is 45 down and 6 up and it's not fiber optic. Did he lie to me just to get a sale? He knew I really wanted to have fiber optic internet so he told me he could give me 45/45 fiber optic but not gigapower ( even though my neighbors have gigapower) why would they be able to give me 45/45 fiber optic but not gigapower? I think he lied and the install Friday will be 45/6 and with regular copper cable. Any help and insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
