When in Fiber coming to my area.
I live in the 92114 area of San Diego, Ca. I would like to know when Fiber is coming to my area.
I have internet 25 now and it is very slow. I am also a retired employee of AT&T.

ATT Fiber is already in select areas of zip code 92114.
Up to Internet 5000 available if like at the right addresses.
https://broadbandnow.com/California/San-Diego?zip=92114
81% of addresses within zip code can have some form of Uverse platforms hardwired connection.
While not up to date…

choose fiber from taps

Not all addresses, streets or neighborhoods will receive fiber,
ATT statement is to provide 30+ million addresses or about 50% of addresses within 21 state footprint with FTTP by end 2025. With about 28 months to go, they have already reached about 25 million meaning another 5 million will be added. Any particular addresses is about 1 in 5 chance or 20% will have upgrade.
It should be noted new construction counts towards the numbers, if a lot of new apartments / condos / subdivisions being built in the area the less likely existing areas will be upgraded.
edit… the average pace of past 8 years, since 2016 is 3 million addresses per year, but expect 2025 to be similar to 2020 (end of 1st 5 year build) where only 1 million was added. If add another 1 million plus yet this year, 2.5 million in 2024 and 1.5 million in 2025 would bring total to 30+ million as 25 million was completed by June 2023.
