Is there another house on the other side of your address that also qualifies for Fiber service?

We always start with this question as if houses one either sided qualify then it is often a database issue but it could also be a lack of facilities. No additional Fiber port available which is rare for a planned Fiber service area.

What AT&T services are listed for your address using the Availability checking web link: https://www.att.com/availability

Do you have aerial or underground utilities?

It could be as simple as your neighbors used the last port on the Fiber terminal or the Splitter at the PFP. Or a simple mix up in the database. Were you houses built at different times and was your house there when Fiber service was installed?

Is there a cross street between your 2 houses? Streets are the most common point where Fiber stops but it can stop mid street in some cases.

We're here to help provide you information on when Fiber will be available, JOYVARELA!

There can be multiple reasons why Fiber isn't available yet, such as the following:

  1. Distance – AT&T Internet is a distance-dependent service. If you are too far away from the equipment, certain services may not be available. This means your neighbor may have service but your home cannot.

  2. Equipment is not available – To get service, AT&T Internet equipment has to be in the area. In some instances, it isn't. We do not have information if or when it will be.

  3. The area is not built for U-verse – some areas are not U-verse ready. The Community team does not have information if or when it will be. Distance and equipment can play a key in instances like this.

  4. Another competitor services there area - This happens from time to time but it does not mean all services are not available to you. Check out other internet options below!

We are still in the process of expanding the network to provide the most coverage to our customers. You can access our Coverage Map where you can check availability at your address. Otherwise, if you’d like to check if service is available to you now or to sign up for a notification if it does become available in the future, please visit att.com/NotifyMe. We will send you a notification via your preferred method as soon as AT&T Fiber becomes available to you.

If you have any further questions, please let us know. Thank you for being a part of our AT&T Community!

@ATTHelp  I live in Scottsboro Al. It seems every city around me even smaller cities have your services like Bridgeport AL Huntsville and Guntersville have your services but you skipped our town. Well there’s a lot of people in this town that are curious as to why you guys skipped us. Our services are horrible here with only City cable company, charter, and century link. A lot of people even started a page and petition years back to try and get Att here. What do we have to do to get our town Att. I feel like since the city has its own cable and internet company that they may have blocked you guys or comcast from coming here.

My whole neighborhood is fiber eligible, but my specific address is not. I am on a small 5 house cul sac.  My 2 next door neighbors are eligible for fiber.  The house 3 away on the other side have fiber. I tried to contact 'Social Media Help' and call but they keep telling me to check the online tool. The tool has got to be wrong if everyone around me can get fiber. How do I get AT&T to send someone to LOOK for themselves?

I'm in the same boat. All the houses down my road on each side can get ATT fiber, but I can't. I've been on Uverse for more than 10 years.

We called AT&T about getting fiber internet and the said we would have to pay $15,000-$30,000 to have it. The guy even tried to talk us into switching providers..That blows my mind when it seems as though everyone else around us, has it! We have the newest home in our neighborhood and we can see it on our pole and every other provider is offering it at our address...

Maybe your address hadn’t been registered to Att’s internal database.  Ask for an address validation.  Better to open your own thread next time.
