As the device is purchased with 3rd Party seller (Amazon), we recommend you to contact them for unlock options.
Why does AT&T SIM-lock devices?
-We SIM-lock devices to protect you from fraud and to reduce theft. A SIM lock keeps your device from being used on any other network except AT&T.
Check if your AT&T phone, Android® tablet, or mobile hotspot, is able to be unlocked.
Amazon & Non-AT&T Purchases :
Before purchasing a device from a non-AT&T authorized dealer or sites like eBay, Amazon etc., make sure the seller performs the unlock request. In some instances, you will have to contact the seller to perform the request. If the device was purchased by another provider, they should have online resources to unlock the device. If you purchase the device and it is NOT unlocked AT&T will not be able to unlock the device.
