David (Edited as per community guidelines)

Hello AT&T Representative,

My name is David (Edited as per community guidelines).  My telephone number with AT&T was (Edited as per community guidelines).  My phone number has been disconnected by you folks.  I do not have access to cell phone service or email.   I am having my friend send you this message in hopes that you will help me.

I am 74 years old and on disability.  I am now homeless and unfortunately I am living out of my car under a railroad bridge in Tucson, Arizona.

Because I am homeless & I need streaming capability, I needed a cell phone plan that provided me unlimited or 50 mb of data.  I purchased a 5G Cell phone at Walmart & I was having a tremendous problem using the cell phone because it was too fast and I was messing up pushing the buttons.  I had to pay you folks around $217 for one month and then I think that AT&T erased my personal applications especially the Christian ones that I valued so much.

My cellphone service was turned off.  I don't know why but it is very disconcerting that a homeless man on disability with a debit card has his personal information deleted from his cellphone and the phone is disconnected.

I think that you folks over-charged me and then you said that my phone was shut off.

Please help me.  I need access to my phone.  I have heart trouble and I need to contact my doctor for heart medication.  I only have $1,200 per month.  Can you please help me by returning my personal information to my cell phone and turning my cell phone number on again.  I have my old 4G phone now.  I took the 5G phone back to Walmart.

Please help me.

@Job12345  This is a public, customer to customer forum only. It is not AT&T Support. Please use the three vertical dots to the right of your post to EDIT out your personal information (your name and phone number). This is the exact type of information that scammers/spammers/phishers look for and use.

AT&T doesn't delete applications off of a phone so something else happened there. If your service was turned off by AT&T that's usually for non-payment or if you had a prepaid phone, the money you put on the phone ran out and you didn't renew it.

If you purchased the phone from Walmart, that is not an official AT&T entity. Those types of outlets are not owned or operated by AT&T and they do not have AT&T employees. They are run by a third party who quite often is not totally upfront with customers just so they can make a sale.

This is a customer-based forum and not a way to contact AT&T. Also, that's a lot of personal information to put out there for the world to see.
