How can I stop Robo Calls on my AT&T Land Line?

Hi,

I know how to install NomoRobo on my IPhone. But I don't know how to stop Robo Calls on my AT&T Land Line.

Is there a feature that I can use on my Land Line to stop the Robo Calls and harassing calls?

Please Help

If you're talking a traditional (POTS) landline than you only get a limited number of calls you can block, plus there's a few other features that help some, they can be found on the right side of this page.  If you're talking U-verse you have a greater number you can block, plus some additional feature and you can use nomorobo.  On either service there are call blocking devices on the market that will do much more.

Hi ,

Thank you for your answer. However I have a traditional AT&T landline. I can’t install on my landline.

The call blocking devices will work on traditional landlines.

Hello @CaliforniaRobo, thank you for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums. We'll be happy to help you.

We definitely understand the nuisance of having to deal with spam calls/ Robo calls to your landline phone. We’d be happy to share some information with you to help prevent these.

If you go here, you will be directed to AT&T’s support articles regarding blocking calls on your landline, including an automatic rejection of anonymous calls, recognizing and preventing phone scams, and adding your number to the national do not call registry.

You can block unwanted calls from up to 100 numbers by pressing *60 after their most recent unwanted incoming call on landline. Meanwhile, you can also stop anonymous calls you can dial *77 and to turn off this feature you will dial *87.

We hope all this information helps you with stopping these calls.  If you have any further questions, always feel free to reach out to us here.

Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums,

Well, I just spoke to an ATT person...and she advised me that this "service" must be added (assoc'd with a fee)...and there is a limit of TEN numbers that can be blocked!!

Hi @DrTCH, we're here to help you get clarification.

You do not need to add this feature to be able to use it, it's free of cost. You can visit our website article Block robocalls and other unwanted calls to learn more about this.

Since you mentioned that the *60 and *61 options don't work for you. Look into getting a separate device to help block these calls. You can also refer to our website support article to get a detailed explanation on how to block in various ways.

In the meanwhile below are a few more steps you can look into for this case.

1) Add your number to the free National Do Not Call Registry by going to http://sm.att.com/406759a2

2) Stop political calls by asking callers to remove your number from their lists. Get more info at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) website.

3) Halt debt collection calls by asking them to stop calling if you’re not the person they’re looking for. If you already asked them to stop, and they continue, file a complaint online.

Let us know if this helps!

Thank you for visiting AT&T Community Forums.
