Locked out of my device for more than 24 hours

I want to unlock a device and I have been trying to unlock the device for a few days now. Every time that I go on the ATT website and put in my information to unlock the device, it says I have tried to access my account too many times and I am locked out for 24 hours. It has been 3 days now. I need to unlock the device. How can I get help and have the device unlocked?

Hi @martafagundo, we understand the importance of having an active unlocked phone.

Let's help you with unlocking your device, please try submitting a request to unlock device again by:

  1. Go to device unlock.
  2. Select Unlock your device and follow the prompts.

Just to make sure we're doing everything right, check if your device meets the following device unlock eligibility. This will help us understand your situation better.
    Unlock eligibility requirements:
  • Is an AT&T phone or device and isn’t active on another AT&T account.
  • Has a paid-off installment plan:
  • Was paid in full when you bought it (it was not purchased on an installment plan). You must wait 60 days from your purchase date to submit an unlock request.
  • Hasn't been reported as lost, stolen, or involved with fraud.
  • Doesn’t have a past-due account balance. (Make a payment to bring your account current. It may take up to 24 hours to post.)
  • Is an AT&T Prepaid® phone with a Prepaid SIM and six months of service on the AT&T network. You must submit your unlock request using the most recent version of the AT&T Device Unlock app.
Let us know if that helps, we'll be here to assist you.

Thank you for visiting the AT&T Community Forums.
