Scam Call?

I got multiple calls from a number which was tagged as under AT&T. (877)-714-1509 they asked me for the last 4 digits of my SSN. my dad pays for my phone bill but the only information I gave out was the last 4 digits. They tried putting me on hold but I quickly hung up when my dad told me not to pick it up. What should I do? I’m really nervous and a reply would be very helpful.

First question:  is this concerning a HOME PHONE account? (you posted in home phone so just checking)

The problem is that even if that is a legit number, the call may be spoofing that number.

NEVER give information to someone making a cold call, legit number or not.   Check the account online & periodically to make sure no changes are made.

They can do a lot with the last 4, never give out any information on an unsolicited call.
