ATT Telephone System 945
Is the ATT Telephone System 945, analog or digital?
I know it was discontinued years ago.
Thank you.

All residential phone instruments are analog, they may have digital components like the answering machine, displays and that sort of thing, Unless you have a pure IP phone they're all analog as far as how they communicate.

Spoom2. Thank you. The phone system is a business phone system. I don't know if that helps.

Yes, when there's multiple phone they do communicate phone to phone over a digital link, it just super imposed on the phone line. Since this was posted in the residential forum I just assumed, wrongly, that you were talking about a plain old telephone. I hadn't looked it up. So I guess you could call it digital, though it's not fully digital. All phones covert to analog at some point or you wouldn't be able to talk and listen, since we don't interpret a digital signal.
