AT&T to Discontinue Traditional Landline Phone Service

I currently have traditional landline phone service (aka POTS).  I have 6 AT&T cordless phones connected to the service.  When AT&T terminates POTS, what would be a good way to have my 6-cordless-phone arrangement set up?  Is there a way to have my POTS moved to a cell phone and have the cell-phone-service tied into my cordless phones?  Can you have 6 cell-phones all tied into 1 phone number?

Thanks

ATT will not terminate POTS. You can switch to U-verse (digital phone) and have the same setup, but not all calling features will be available like *69.

curiouscat,

Excellent idea - and, so obvious I can't believe I didn't mention that in my post.

I need to investigate internet-phone technology as a potential replacement for AT&T POTS.

I have Comcast cable-TV and internet at the moment - but, I have had U-verse-telephone in the past.  Obviously, cable-TV will be gone even before AT&T POTS telephone.  This helps me to clarify the overall future residential communications issues in my thinking.

Thank you for the obvious insight.  Sometimes my brain freezes and I just need someone to bounce an issue off of.
