Device Won't power On

After the outage yesterday my Dad's phone, went black & has not been able to power back on since. It just keeps crashing & never gets to the Samsung screen. I can get only to the Download Custom OS screen, everything else results in the phone shutting down.

Edit & Update: 2/24/24

At&t still has not reached out to help me. Your customer support line is instantly turning me away for any help & is automatically hanging up when I get far enough.

My dad is legally blind, he has updates that go to his phone for his eye medicines. This is more than an Inconvenience, & unprofessional.

Not any one on ATTs costumer support service caring to help about this situation, or provide more insight as to what is happening or a possible method to resolve this issue.

This entire ordeal has my dad wanting to leave your service.

Might help if posted in the correct forum, wireless. Threating to leave doesn't matter one way or the other as we're customers this is not the way to contact AT&T. You could try the steps in this topic to reset your cell phone and if that doesn't work search the Internet for the issue with your make and model of phone. AT&T is not going to reach out to you, you must call. If you can't get help using the normal channels file an FCC complaint.

Hello @Joeybby,

We hear you and we do see that you have an issue regarding your Dad's phone, and would like to investigate it further.

The Community Forums are a public support option where other users, and AT&T, will try and assist with high level support needs. This means we won’t be able to look into account specific concerns.  To get the help you need for your unique issue, please review our Contact Us page (https://www.att.com/support/contact-us/), and choose the best option to reach out to us.  You can call, chat, or reach out via social media, and we can review your specific issue and provide you support.  If you feel your issue isn’t account specific, and can be answered generally, please let us know, and we’ll be happy to help.

Thank you,
Jessica D, AT&T community specialist.

I think I was clear in this post, why can't I just get help? You're right here. What a ridiculous notion to refuse helping someone, because I posted an issue in the wrong issue subject. Yet it is a Prepaid phone plan, not wireless issue.

A phone no longer turns on, as if the OS is corrupted or the SIM card has gone bad.

When I call for customer support to fix the phone, I have an automated machine turn me down. Not sure how no one can help here.

I think you might have Missed something in the post. It's not about, a customer throwing a fit for help. It's a company neglecting to just fix the issue.

I have called them. If I'm dissatisfied with their service, its my right to no longer continue to be with them.

I am not an At&t customer, my dad is, I'm a customer elsewhere. Personally from experience I find At&t a horrible company with horrible service. He gets messages sometimes 2 hours, up to 10 days late. Not a service I recommend for anyone.

He would simply like help, & the support this company has shown this far as I try to help him, has been a bunch of nothing. That's opposite of support.

Did you try the link? And it is a wireless issue as that's exactly what cell phone service is. No one refused to help a link was provided. As well as a way to escalate your issue.
