display on CL2909 goes blank
The screen on my CL2909 has gone blank. I have installed a new set of batteries. Pushing any of the buttons beneath the display has no effect.
Without the display I cannot program numbers.
The display contrast was not changed prior to the screen going blank, I could easily read the screen.

Remove the batteries for a minute or so and see if a reset will fix it, if not than the display is probably bad. Make sure the battery compartment is clean (no corrosion)

Two of these brand new phones in a row, neither one will recognize the batteries. I even tested the battery tray output INSIDE the phone, 6.2 volts. Could there really be a whole run of defective phones???
