EL52500 Home Phone Base Unresponsive

The base has the answer on/off and in-use lights blinking red in tandem. Handsets all say No power at base but obviously there is power. Outlet cord and phone cable are plugged in as they should. All have been unplugged and plugged back in. I can get the handset to reprogram mode to match to the base. Still, the base is completely unresponsive to any button pushing and does nothing when the handheld says to press and hold the handset locator on the base to complete registration. After some time the handset reads registration failed. Itsnot the phone line, a different older phone worked fine when plugged into the jack. It doesn't appear to be the handsets since I can get them in the reprogramming mode. The base is completely unresponsive. I need to reset the base but haven't found anything online, just how to reset/reregister the handsets.

This is the same model I have with the two lights that are blinking red.

The only "reset" for the base is to unplug it for about 30 seconds. If the base has a battery backup remove and test those also. I doubt that will fix it.

Page 58 of the manual found here address the no power at base out of range issue, nothing I see address the flashing lamps issue.

In the manual spoom2 references, for both issues of My telephone doesn’t work at all & OUT OF RANGE OR NO PWR AT BASE appears on my cordless handset, both say to:

Reset the telephone base. Unplug the electrical power. Wait for
approximately 15 seconds, then plug it back in. Allow up to one minute for
the cordless handset and telephone base to reset.

His 30 seconds is safer than only 15.  I'd say if the power cycle doesn't fix it, your base (or at the very least its power supply) is fried and will have to be replaced.
