Remove telephone pole guy wires

Hi,

I live in Chicago and there is a telephone pole that has guy wires coming down into my backyard.  I'd like to have the guy wires removed or moved so that kids don't trip over them.  The power company removed their wire a couple weeks ago, but I can't figure out who I am supposed to contact to have the AT&T wires removed.  Can you please let me know who the best person to contact is?

Thank you!

If the pole is a corner pole or an end pole the guy wires are needed to support the pole due to the load of the angle or end. You can follow the instructions for downed or obstructed lines in the link and have someone come out and evaluate it. The power company may have removed theirs thinking the remaining guy wires were sufficient.

Thanks. It's not a corner or an end.  I've called the line for downed wires almost two months ago and explained that we need the guy wires removed, but they sent someone who said he only deals with downed wires.  He told me that I need to get in touch with the Construction team, but I can't get a contact for the construction team.  I've called several times, but they keep putting me back in touch with the same guy who only deals with downed wires.

Only suggestion I can make is when you see a tech ask them who the local engineering contact is. Do you have pictures? They don't just place guy wires for no reason.

Hi,

Were you able to end up getting AT&T to remove the guy wires?  Who did you contact to get this done?  Any information would be greatly appreciated as I am dealing with the same issue!
