REMOVING AN EASEMENT OWNED BY SOUTHWESTERN BELL (purchased by ATT)

You would go to your city or county taxing authority that controls the size and placement of easements. 

Some background on the easement

(it was an easement in order to cut and maintain trees, and there are no longer any trees on the property, does that mean the easement is to no longer be valid?) I will attach a screenshot of the easement here. It was given to southwestern bell in 1946 and since then it has been bought out by two different companies, which now happens to be ATT. I wish they had a department that handled this specifically we could contact and be happy campers. -_-

Do you think I have not tried that yet? County said that since its a private easement they cant do anything. Need to contact the owner, the owner is southwestern bell, and now the owner is att. Which everyone seems to have a problem contacting for issues like this

AT&T does not own the easement, again that would be your local authority. 

I have no idea what you've tried if you don't tell us. Being clairvoyant isn't my strong suite. AT&T doesn't own any easement, period. As stated, the size and placement of easements is controlled by your local authority, they would have the forms for release of easement. 

if the local authority owned the easement why would they tell me to contact the private easement owner. I have seen this same copied and pasted response to multiple posts and its not helpful. Att does own it, they probably just dont know, its buried in all the paperwork they have in some office

you cant just walk into the county office and request a release of easement, the owner needs to facilitate the transaction. in this case its southwestern bell which is now att. ATT has to start the process...
