Change Long distance plan

I have called 4 times over the last week to change my long distance plan.  I have talked to some very polite people but they have all either said they would call me back or have a supervisor call me back.  It has been 4 days since the first time I was told they would call me back.    They also refuse to let me get off the phone until they try to upset me on voip phone, direct TV and a cell phone.

They all encounter a 'bug' in their system and can not resolve the issue.  I am paying $20/month for a service I dont use or want.

Sadly, that is really my question.  I have called the contact number 4 times on 1/23, 2/12, 2/13 and 2/14 and all four times I was told I would get a call back.  I have talked to Ellen, Josh, Clay and John on these calls.

However, I still have not received a call back.  So my question is what other support options are available?

I only keep my landline because the area I live has poor cellular service and I provide care for elderly relatives and I need to be able to be reached.

When you call customer service say landline or POTS line to get you to people who are supposed to be more familiar with traditional landlines.

If nothing works by going the normal route file an FCC complaint.
