ATT does not conduct Customer Service via email.  You have to call.

I discontinued my AT&T landline account the end of 2023 because I went with another carrier. I kept getting bills and I paid them because my husband had Parkinson's disease and terminal cancer. I was his caregiver and didn't have a lot of time to deal with phone bills that I didn't owe. I did call several times and would be on hold for long periods of time and when someone answered they would take all my information and when they couldn't figure it out they would transfer me to another person. I was told that the account didn't exist. After I was transferred to the third person and they couldn't figure it out, they would ask for a number where I could be reached and they said they would check further and call me back. Of course they never do. They are still sending bills. I haven't paid the last two so now they say that I need to pay or it could be turned over for collection. I DON'T OWE IT! Now they call every morning with the same message. I'm fed up with AT&T and I want this resolved NOW!

Well, unfortunately, the only answer you're going to get from AT&T on this thread is a link to their Contact Us page (and there's already one of those at the bottom of this page).

If you had a telephone line with AT&T and you ported the number to another carrir, then the act of porting should have canceled your phone line.  Did you also have DSL Internet or some other service being billed with your telephone that would have kept that cancellation from working properly?  Are you actually getting additional charges for service each month, or are they just re-billing you for past charges?

What you are likely going to have to do is file an online complaint with the FCC.  That will be referred to an escalation department for AT&T who will normally contact you by telephone within 2-3 business days of your complaint.  The number will likely not show up as being from AT&T, so you may have to answer a few unidentified calls for a few days.

I have called them and emailed them. After emailing back and forth, the person said "oops, I only deal with wireless. You'll have to contact landline team. My internet is a separate account as well as my wireless. I'm getting a new bill every month. I paid them for awhile because my husband had terminal cancer and I didn't have a lot of spare time. I did keep calling them though, with no result. I  may have to file the complaint with FCC. Thank you for responding.

You can dial *611 from your cell phone and place repair order through automated system.  You don’t have to call
