voice mail on VOIP line

voice mail accessible but after hitting "1" to listen to the messages, I am able to here it.  When I try to delete it with the "7" key it doesn't act as though it got the key.  If I hit other keys to try to foward or save or anything it just beeps with out doing anything till it eventually says it hasn't received any signal and drops off completely.

What's the make and model of the phone you're using?

It is not the phone.  I have two very different phones on the line, a portable and a really good AT&T (western electric) phone that is superior equipment and the voice mail did the same thing on both.  It is the system, not the phone.

Well, it does matter because of polarity. So, if you don't tell me the make and model I can't determine if that's the issue or not. Did it every work? By VoIP line do you mean AT&T phone as in digital phone service from AT&T out of the back of your AT&T modem or are you talking a different VoIP service that plugs into an Ethernet port on the modem? If you don't want to answer the questions, there's not much we can do to help.

I'LL GET IT TO YOU TOMORROW, BUT YOU ARE BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE.  YES IT WORKED ON BOTH PHONES BEFORE AND UNTIL THIS PAST WEEKEND.  YES IT IS AN AT&T VOIP LINE.

Western electric tells me it's a 2500 if a desk model or 2554 for wall. Does it have 10 touch tone buttons or 12? Need model, not serial, or a picture will work. Also, if they worked before and just quit try resetting the modem.

12 touch tone buttons, a Desk model (cigar box)

The model number is blank

How would I get a picture to you?

I think I know the model you're talking about. Your information about it working then quit helped, I believe a modem reset will fix it.

OK. I reset the entire system.  Now I have a dial tone and nothing works.  Had my wife call in on it...call didn't connect.  The phone rang, but couldn't here either of us on either end.  When I hit *98, the beeps sounded but the dial tone continued by doing nothing.
