Can't call out
Fiber system with Internet WiFi and landline. Installed about 2 years. All of a sudden cannot call out. It actually rings at the receiving phone, but basically a dead line. I can't hear anything including ringing and they can't hear me when they answer. Same if calling other landline or cellphone.
Tech came out and said he fixed it and to wait 30 - 60 min. They say it's resolved, but same results.

Reset your modem, I'm assuming your phone is plugged into the modem or the homes wiring plugs into the modem.

My general troubleshooting steps for description of issue…. Have dial tone, rings, no voice/hearing
1) test with a different (new) phone as only connection, work yes or no…
if no…
2) reboot ATT equipment
3) factory reset ATT equipment
4) replace ATT equipment
5) have ATT reset their end.
My initial thought is a faulty phone as make and receive calls is working, just no volume.
Support can perform ATA disable / enable either remote or tech on-site.
