Damaged AT&T junction box in Imperial Beach Blvd between 3rd and 4th Street

Looks like some vandals open this junction box and expose wires and an internal strip is now hanging outside the box.

See attached pictures.

Follow the instructions for unburied cables or exposed wires, in this link

Those instructions are quite confusing, no-good email or contact info. 😝🤬

The chat link doesn't work either. Just a phone number to call.

How am I going to send pictures over the (Edited per community guidelines) phone?

There is no email, you call to report. The link has been used by many and they don't need pictures.

I tried that phone number, it has nothing to do with reporting exposed wires. Completely useless.

They gave me another number 314-235-4328. What a waste of time.

I'm just trying to warn AT&T of a problem on their property.  😝😝😝🤬🤬

1-800-920-9420 had a wait time of over 10 minutes to get a live operator to answer.

Ridiculous.

@fg2001gfatID

This is a public forum of other customers, no way to inform AT&T about anything.

The Buried Wire Center should receive this report. However if the number is not going to that department then their phone system is having a routing issue. So give it some time for them to fix their internal routing issue and then try again (either later today or next week).

I was hoping that AT&T would also monitor this forum. I guess not. 🤬

AT&T monitors this forum.  But their posted responses are generally how to contact AT&T unless (and often even when there is) a general solution that could be provided publicly; i.e. the best you can hope for is a reply that will either give you the same information that has already been given you, or the main support number.

If you followed the instructions in the AT&T provided link and you couldn't get the help needed file an FCC complaint. Their Link, their instructions.

After waiting 15 Minutes on the phone 800-924-9420, I could finally talk to a person and report the problem, they will send out a repair team to fix the junction cylinder. They gave me a ticket number. We'll see how long it will take. 😎

Those boxes should have locks to avoid tampering from irresponsible vandals. It happens quite often. This is not the 1st time.

Perhaps irresponsible vandals should be made more responsible and less vandal?
