How do I get service restored?

Paid my bill, in full. Balance on Web site zero. Service not restored. Three days later axcound shows credit for the amount paid. Looks tome like they canceled my service. No e-mail notice. (Edited per community guidelines)

You get your service restored by calling customer service to see what the issue is. No one on this customer-based forum can restore your service.

This also happened to me. I am told by ATT my number was slammed. If you got ATT to help you with that, I'd love to know your secret.

Hey spoom, obviously you don't have a land line phone issue or a land line phone at all, in some places in the US this is still required. And it appears ATT doesn't care to help these customers.  So (Edited per community guidelines) OFF with your snarky answers.

Ok "spoom".  My landline was slammed by "someone", ATT is zero help, and complaint is filed with CAPUC. I expect this won't end in my favor as a consumer, but I post for when it happens to someone else, they'll know it's not just them.

@sleepypoke my answer was valid to the OP it may not seem so to you. I'm sure if you read it carefully you'll see what I mean. If not you don't understand the OP's issue.

@SuePppppp your best bet is to file an FCC complaint, even that may not help.

@spoom2, what you need to understand is I am sick to death of AT&T, I am sitting in another persons house typing away on a computer because my home was damaged severely by the recent tornadoes here.  So, excuse my 84 year old eyes, my glasses are lying in a pile of rubble that was my ceiling, and I have had enough of trying to get help from AT&T and getting redirected an redirected.  I still understand quite well.  You just got one barrel out of angst after dealing with no land line phone for 2 weeks now, and it appears AT&T's website offers no help.  What I thought at first was your position was as a moderator.  So I felt like slapping away at anyone who might listen.  My apologies.

I would love a direct line to someone who can help place a ticket so I can resolve this issue at hand.  The link does not work and the number on this site that is referenced for land lines just leads to more routing from Manila to Milan.

@SuePppppp @sleepypoke  FYI:  THIS IS A CUSTOMER POPULATED MESSAGE BOARD AND NOT A WAY TO CONTACT AT&T.

YOU HAVE TO CALL FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.  IF YOU DO NOT GET SATISFACTION YOU CAN FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB OR THE FCC.  🙄🙄🙄

Hey, I have an idea, I am about to go outside and burn some trash and branches from the recent storm, perhaps if anyone else can make a burn pile, we can make smoke signals and find a new way to communicate and put ol AT&T out of business, sound fun?

Gonna go get my matches.  Have fun kiddos.

@spoom2 Maybe you have a point but for OP why does it show canceled with a credit issued if it's just a service issue? That's exactly what happened to me, and it was slamming. I spent HOURS on the phone with ATT trying to get resolution. After 3 days, I finally got the employee that told me my number was slammed. Then it was many more calls with zero resolution. To add insult to injury, my refund was sent in the form of a visa gift card. If I had seen information I've provided here from someone,  I think it would have been helpful. As a consumer, it's shocking that they could allow this to happen and not take any steps to correct it. Note to others, if you live in CA you have to file complaints with CAPUC, which is why it feels hopeless.
