Internet fiber conversion caused landline to go down

An ATT technician was here earlier to change my internet connection over to fiber.  Now my landline is down.  Could it be something he did that caused that?

Did you have a POTS line or a VOIP (ATT PHONE) line?

Phone bill on same bill as internet is VOIP while having two separate bills would have been POTS.

If the tech removed the old copper drop to install fiber your POTS line would be down.

If VoIP, either the number was not transferred to the fiber account or not connected, do you have a data cable going from the back of the gateway phone port to your phone wiring?

Not anymore if they've installed fiber. Have you plugged a phone into the phone port on the modem to see if it works and is the correct number.

Try plugging a phone into the phone port and see if your number is there. Or call customer service

I will suspect the tech removed the copper drop if aerial from pole... check to see if you.still.have your.copper NID? If NID is removed there would be no copper POTS line connection.

Called customer service, they took a repair ticket for someone to come back out and fix the problem.  Thank you.
