Landline errors

My parents established their landline in 1964.  In the 1980's they added a second landline for my disabled sister.  My parents are now in their 80's and all of their dr.'s and friends have the original number from 1964.  Over the weekend my disabled sister passed away.  Today my son called to have the second line established in the 1980's shut off.  AT&T transferred my sister's phone # to my parents line.  NOW WHEN FRIENDS CALL TO GIVE THIER CONDOLENCES THEY GET A MESSAGE THAT THE NUMBER HAS CHANGED AND THE NEW NUMBER IS NOT AVAILABLE.  ALSO NONE OF THIER MANY DR'S CAN REACH THEM.

I NEED THIS CORRECTED IMMEDIATELY!  PLEASE HELP!

Can't be done on the forums you'll need to call, or whoever has the account information has to call.
