Porting back to AT&T

Due to a Spectrum advertisement, I ordered Internet so that I could put up cameras in my 93 year old mother's home and observe her.  As an Illinois resident, she still has the old land line (2 rotary dial phones, copper lines?) and pays about $100 per month for her AT&T service.  Spectrum told me they would use AT&T lines, could keep her telephone number, but reduce her bill.  On the day that the tech arrived, he stated he could not use AT&T lines. While he was working on putting in the Internet, I contacted her Lifeline Alert and ADT.  Both stated they could not work on Internet. So I decided we wanted AND needed to keep AT&T for her landline service. because it is connected to her Lifeline and ADT The tech told me they would not cut off AT&T service, I would have to cancel it. We had both services for 25 days, then Spectrum took over with her phone service.  I have called AT&T numerous (12) times, talked to 11 representatives and one supervisor, completed the required LOA that I e-mailed AND mailed, and waited patiently for her AT&T service to be restored (ported back) as well as her to keep her original telephone number. It has now been officially a month and I was promised a call back yesterday or today (March 26th) and as of 10:18 am on the latter, no call back.  Did I mention, someone has tried to break in her back door?  That she does not know how to use the Internet phone because it is not set up in her bedroom?  Do I need to contact the local and national media or John T. Stankey?  I do not live with my mother, I live 2.5 hours away and taking care of my husband who has cancer, which is why I installed the cameras.  THIS IS SO STRESSING.  So hopefully you can provide some insight as to how to get this done immediately for if my mother gets killed because ADT is not working or dies because she falls and her Lifeline alert is not connected, I WILL contact the local & national media, FCC, the CEO's of both companies and anyone else I need to.  (I have names, dates, and times of everyone I talked with!) Thanks
