Hello holliemaloy83, we're here to help you create user ID.

You can manage multiple accounts online with a single user ID.

  1. Go to the myAT&T sign-in page and select Create one now.
  2. Enter your AT&T phone number or account number and your billing ZIP Code. You may also be asked to enter a verification code.
  3. If there’s already a user ID for the account, choose from the options listed.
  4. Enter your personal info to prove your identity.
  5. Choose how you want to receive your verification code, if asked.
  6. Enter the verification code we send you.
  7. Enter a new user ID and password. Be sure your ID is an email address that starts with a letter.
  8. Save your ID and your password to your device, if you choose.
  9. Enter the contact info for your user ID.
  10. Set up your security questions and answers.
  11. Accept the AT&T User ID Terms & Conditions.
  12. Choose whether you want to sign up for paperless billing for your accounts, if asked. If you go paperless, we’ll email you a link. Select it to verify your email address.
  13. Select Finish Activation, if you’re creating an ID in the middle of a device activation process
Good to know: We may ask for a wireless number, so you can get sign-in help by text message.

After creating your ID

Password tips

  • Make your password strong and secure by following our AT&T password requirements.
  • Save your password on your phone if you want to use your fingerprint to sign in to the myAT&T app.

Let us know if helps.

Thank you for visiting AT&T Community Forums!

Trying to help my elderly parents by setting up online access to their AT&T account so my brother and I can log in to help if needed. (They have wireless and home phone.) I tried once and somehow it linked to my own AT&T account, which is not what I was attempting to do — want to keep them separate. I know I'm probably missing something obvious, but any help is appreciated. Thank you!
