Does deleting texts from phone delete text record from Usage log?

I deleted texts and contact from my phone for someone that I now need to contact, but when I check my text logs via my AT&T account online, there is no trace of our communication. Does a true account of my text and call usage exist without omissions? Just trying to locate a phone number.

No, texts are not deleted from text logs. If you set a text from an iPhone to another iPhone then it would be sent as data using iMessage. iPhone to Android would be a text and would be in the text log.

If texts are deleted and emptied from trash bin, can they still be available with a request for account history?

The deleted message sent/recieved/time/date does not appear on my online ATT data and phone call record online.

Text message always show usage on your account details. Not the body of the message, but date/time stamp and if it was incoming or outgoing.

Any messages that are iMessages, so iPhone to iPhone don't count as text messages but data. As such, they do not show on usage logs.

AT&T has no way to recover something you've deleted from the phone. It cannot be removed from account history, so if it was not there then it was something that used data instead such as iMessages.
