how to know the difference in phone being cut off and SOS pnly
My phone randomly went into SOS only and I dont know if it’s just because suddenly reception dropped out of the blue or if my phone service was cut off will the phone being cut off get alerted that it’s cut off or will the top just say “no service” instead of SOS only?

The difference might be your knowledge of whether there would be a reason for service to be cut off entirely. For example you know your bill is not paid 🤔
Usually the words emergency calls only will appear if a phone has no service
