New customer, phone number isn't active yet. How can I access my account?

I just signed up for new service and preordered the Galaxy S24+. The phone isn't out yet and I was told my number won't port over until I activate the new phone. In the meantime, I was wanting to double check my account info and future charges to make sure everything is just right. In order to create a login though, you have to either have your AT&T number or your account number and zip code. But since my new number hasn't transferred yet and I wasn't given my account number when I signed up, how could I create an account in the meantime? While in the store, I was told to come up with a passcode for my account and the emails I've received since have the last 4 digits of the 'account' number but I never got the rest of it when I signed up. So how can I access my online account for now?

Hey there @PrinceGil! We are glad you are joining the AT&T family, and we look forward to having you with us. Let's get this journey of on the right foot, so here's the information you need.

Since yours is a new device and account, the next step for you would be activating your device. This can only be done once you receive the device, so just hang back, and sit tight!

Once the device is activated, all your account details will be sent across to you, so rest assured, you are on the right track here.

Hope this information helps, and do let us know if you have any other concerns or questions for us in the future.

You don't have an account until your phone number is ported over and you have your new phone in hand.  You won't be able to create your access ID or verify to factor authentication until you have your new phone.
