Does cancelling my prepaid Autopay mean my service is cancelled?

I have been in the US for a year so using a ATT prepaid service, paying monthly with autopay. I am returning to the UK this month so need my phone plan to be cancelled. I have cancelled autopay on my account, does this mean that my plan will end next month or do I need to take any more action? Thank
