I normally have my iPhone 6 data roaming switched off on my current postpaid plan.  Recognizing that AT&T prepaid plans can use only AT&T towers, would I notice a difference in voice or data coverage after switching to prepaid? (In the USA only)

I have subscribed to AT&T's Family Map.  At least 9 times out of 10 when the iPhone is powered on and is in coverage area, Family Map doesn't detect it and says it is either powered off or is out of coverage area.  Does anyone else have this problem?  And what is the best workaround?

I have family map so I can locate my one NON-iPhone device. it's a ZTE Maven (Z812) on my post-paid account. It located it ONE time, and hasn't ever been able to again. No matter if the phone is on wi-fi or not. No matter if it has GPS turned on, or locations set to battery saver. Nothing i've done
