Account Number Retrieval without a Paper Bill

I had been having trouble getting into my AT&T wireless account. My email I gave them is still linked to my old prepaid account. I had been waiting on a bill to come in so I could set up an ID with my new number, but because it’s a business account a FAN PIN is required. In order to reset this pin, your account number is needed. Almost 3-4 months, no bill in the mail.

So I called the Customer Account Service (800)311-0500. I went through the automated menu until I reached a representative. I told them I was set up with a business account and told them I never received a paper bill. I also told them I had no way to provide my account number to reset my FAN PIN. The gentleman was understanding and got with his management to find a workaround.

He came back and asked me to provide my IMEI (found in phone settings). Once provided he was able to send me a code that I had to read back to him. He entered the code and a few minutes later he gave me my account number. No in store visit needed! I hope this helps someone!

**If you are having a similar issue and need your account number, call that number. If they say they can’t help you, offer to provide them your IMEI. If they still say they can’t help you, I wouldn’t believe it. It just happened for me!
