At&t bill

I just signed up for AT&T yesterday. When I spoke with the sales representative, he told me my bill would be $135.00 (Before taxes and fees). I'm just a little confused now because my bill says it will be $192.02 monthly. Here's my breakdown:

 - $25 x2 for my discounted smartphone line access (Discounted because I am on the Next plan)

 - $40 for the 3GB plan itself monthly
 - $28.20 for the Galaxy Note 4 monthly
 - $22.84 for the Samsung Galaxy s6 32GB
 - $6.99 x2 for mobile protection on both devices

That equals $155.02 (Not including taxes and fees. So does that mean the taxes and fees are $37.00? That seems a bit high to me, so I'm not sure if that's right.

Thank you!

Dig out the paper receipt, which should have all details.
I also suggest you register for your online account and logon to view your bill details. Would explain better than we can.
Communications taxes would be on service only, and yes, $37 is too high.

More likely it is a proration of your first few days of service and then your first full month.

Hi there @nhilton2

I understand your billing concerns! I’d be happy to help! As @lizdance40 has suggested, I believe we may be seeing prorated charges in that additional $37, but I’d like to take a closer look to make sure! Can you please send me a private message by Clicking Here and include the following information?

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Cell number

Thanks,

Charise

Does it say that is your monthly bill or your first bill? The first bill will include some prorated charges. Usually first month is part of month until bill end date and then the next month's charges.

OR that is a bill estimate and doesn't have the out of contract discounts.

Also the bill estimate you got probably did not include the insurance. FYI, insurance is not mandatory. You could cancel it and reduce your bill by $14.
