Charged Activation Fees even though sales rep said they would be waived
I guess I should have checked this forum first because I've had a terrible experience with starting Wireless service.
6/20/24 - I had an appointment to get AT&T fiber installed at my home. About an hour into the install I get a knock at the door and it's a AT&T wireless sales rep. He told me I could save 20% on my Internet service by switching to AT&T and that all activation fees will be waived. I asked him if the account holders name needed to match on both Wireless and Internet accounts to get the discount and he said no.
6/25/24 - I get my first Internet bill and there's no 20% discount. I chat with customer service and they said I wouldn't qualify for the discount because the name and service address need to match on both Wireless and Internet accounts.
6/27/24 - I get my first Wireless bill and activation fees were NOT waived. First bill ended up being $256 for 3 lines.
Can anyone help me with this situation? I feel so taken advantage of. Everything the sales rep promised was a lie.

File a better Business bureau complaint online.
But I don't know if this is fixable.
In order to get the 20% off the internet service, it does require the same account holder as wireless.
The in-home rep knew that. They also know that unless they're doing this as a home wireless bundle, they're not going to get the activation fees waived

@formerlyknownas Thanks for the response and suggestion. I submitted a BBB complaint and I plan to call billing today.

Don't call billing. They will not be able to help, except for maybe issuing a small credit. Wait for the Office of the President to call from the BBB complaint.
