Charged For Warranty Replacement

I filed a warranty claim for my device. I received the replacement and shipped the defective device back. After About 2 months the defective device came back to me. I called in to inquire about the device being returned and after being passed around like a collection plate I spoke with someone who told me to send the device back and they emailed me a shipping label. I sent the device back but I was still charged the full amount for the device. How can I get this resolved?

Did you use Asurion for the insurance claim? If so, it's between you and Asurion, not AT&T. File an online complaint with the BBB. That will go to AT&T Corporate and someone will contact you. This is a public customer populated forum only. Not AT&T Support.

You said warranty replacement. Warranty replaces a device for free, if it is within the first year since purchase, and the reason for the devices failure is a manufacturer's defect.

You would be charged for the replacement device if there was physical damage or liquid damage to the phone. And there would have been some sort of message included with the return.

So was there physical or liquid damage to the phone? Dead pixels, a chip or a crack anywhere on the exterior of the phone, scuff marks that are more than everyday wear and tear?

Any physical or liquid damage voids the warranty which means you would be charged for a replacement

You're asking us about a warranty for an unknown phone brand, you didn't tell us who you filed the claim with, and I don't know where this person ("I spoke with someone") works.

I'm guessing at least one of these are AT&T (since you're posting here), but not sure why you'd contact AT&T for warranty on your phone, I'd be contacting Apple.
