Don't use your credit card to pay your bill!
Did you know you will be charged $10 PER LINE if you use your credit card for AutoPay? My bill was $50 higher this month and there is NOTHING on my bill that states I will be charged PER LINE to use my credit card. AND if you don't use AutoPay at all, YOU WILL STILL BE CHARGED $10 PER LINE! AT&T wants your debit card or checking account information to pay your bill.
My bill says, "AutoPay is scheduled to charge your card on..." No mention of a fee.
Under "Monthly Charges" it says, "AutoPay and paperless billing discount is included." That "discount" was an additional $50 added to my bill.
We are fed up with AT&T!! This happens often and I have to check every month to make sure hidden fees haven't been added. Unfortunately, we have to stay with AT&T because of the cost of switching to a different carrier.

False...
It's not a fee...
AutoPay and paperless billing discount with debit or checking is $10 per phone line. Both AutoPay and paperless are required.
The $10 per line discount will kick in the first time your bill is auto paid with paperless billing, and debit or checking account.
AT&T notified everyone as early as July that the auto-pay and paperless billing discount would be cut in half if you used a credit card.
1. If you chose not to use AutoPay at all, you lose the discount.
2. If you choose not to use paperless billing at all you lose the discount.
3. If you use a credit card the discount is cut in half to $5 per phone line
(Unlike Verizon who has never provided auto pay and paperless billing discount if you use a credit card. And T-Mobile which recently cut the AutoPay and paperless billing discount to $zero if you use a credit card)

@vansetten Nope. AT&T is just removing the $10 per line discount for Autopay if you use a credit card. If you use another form of Autopay (a checking account for example), the $10 per line discount stays in effect. Comcast does the same thing. @formerlyknownas covered the Verizon and T-Mobile "discounts".
It's becoming a huge problem using credit cards for autopay with fraudulent charges, folks disputing charges, etc. So much so that it's just not worth the accounting headache for these companies to make using a credit card for services like that reasonable.

@OttoPylot
Not removed, it's cut in half.
T-Mobile removed it. Verizon never allowed it.

@formerlyknownas Thanks for the correction. BTW, I had to find this post because message notifications aren't working for me. I posted about it in the ACE Forum.

I haven't received the clear cookies notification. It just tells me when I try to access a message that the re-direction is wrong because only 20 attempts are allowed ☹️.

The clear cookies or too many redirects depends on the browser.

@kevink
Doesn't work on Chrome or Safari. No luck on Cake either.
This is definitely an AT&T problem and it's extremely annoying

@kevink Clearing the cache/cookies doesn't work on Safari or Firefox, and the platform doesn't make any difference either. I agree, this is an AT&T problem.
