Um, no, that’s not illegal, and AT&T didn’t force you to pay with your bank account anyway. Decreasing an autopay discount is not “forcing” you to do anything.
You have the CHOICE to pay by whichever method best suits you.
It is AT&T's right on how they offer their OPTIONAL AND NOT OBLIGATORY discounts.
Just because it is not the most convenient for you, does not make it illegal. So understand the facts first before you try to substitute your own made up ones.
@EVlnte When was your data leaked? Was it part of the 2019 breach that just came to light a couple of months ago when the bad guys offered to sell the information on the dark web?
Everyone thinks the data breach happened in April of this year.
It did not. As you pointed out in your post, the data breach happened in 2019. Apparently in June of 2019 some kind of black hat hacker accessed a ton of AT&T customer information.
The likelihood that 5 years later anyone is using the same bank card, credit card, and they shouldn't be using the same password makes most of that information pretty useless.

Nope. Not illegal at all. You still have a choice. And, AT&T is not the only provider who is doing that.
