The store at 1609 W Business Us 60, Dexter, MO 63841 is an Authorized Retailer.

Police will handle it.

AT&T Retail Store or AT&T Corporate Store? They both look exactly the same only the Retail Store is not owned or operated by AT&T nor does it have AT&T employees. They are independently owned and operated totally separate from AT&T, and AT&T has no control over those employees or how the store manager conducts business.

Please use the three vertical dots to the right of your post and remove your phone number. This is a public customer only forum, not AT&T Support, and AT&T Management does not read these forums.  However, scammers/spammers/phishers look for that type of info to exploit.

Threatening to go to social media will accomplish nothing because you're just one of a long list of folks who threaten that and some actually go thru with it.

If a police responded and filed a report and you complained to the manager then that's all you can do. If he gets fired you will probably never know unless another employee tells you.

You need to let the police and courts handle it.  If this occurred as you said, the police should have arrested the employee immediately.  AT&T isn’t going to do anything for you through this post.  All AT&T would do is to tell you contact them, and most likely you’ll just get an typical CS rep who can help with things like accounts, but isn’t equipped to do anything with this problem.  As noted, if it was an authorized retailer, they aren’t AT&T employees, and AT&T isn’t responsible.

Ah, it's an Authorized Retail Store. Nothing that AT&T can do about it because they don't own the store or its employees.

The police told us they could not make any arrest till they view tape. I specifically asked officer if they had access to video tape and was told no. But will not be surprised about anything that happens. Thank you everyone for taking time to answer me and I will keep it updated if anyone is interested. Bob

@brc67 I would suggest you go back to the store, or better yet, have a trusted friend go back into the store and ask them if they are Authorized or Corporate. Or, if you have a receipt it should be listed somewhere on the receipt. The police probably know about as much as most consumers about Authorized vs Corporate. It can't hurt to double check.

Per the website for that store, it's an authorized retailer.  That means the franchise store, not owned by AT&T, but authorized to sell their goods and services.

Not that it matters one bit whether it's an authorized retailer or a corporate store. This is a police matter.
