Old detailed usage reports

Why can’t anyone at customer service provide detailed usage reports > 16 months old?

Then file a complaint as you implied with your user name. Though make sure it is to the right entity such as BBB or FCC, not FTC. Those get forwarded to upper management and usually gets you someone from the Office of the President in a few business days.

Just make sure your request is for anything not available online as it is $5 per monthly reprint. And of course this is only for postpaid as prepaid has a harder limit on usage history.

You can access the same information through your MyATT account under usage. You can get usage history from 6 or 7 years ago. You may also request a “detailed bill reprint“ by calling customer service again and hopefully you get someone that knows what they are doing. If you encounter any difficulties, you can ask to speak to a supervisor for further assistance.

Really?  That’s a new one….

@Capricorngirly

That's false.  Online bills and usage are available for 16 months for postpaid...6 months for prepaid.

Postpaid: older records must be requested as "bill reprints with usage detail".  At $5 per Bill.  Proof of ownership of the account is required

Prepaid: 6 months.  Period.   Nothing older ever.  Not in any way.  And never anywhere other than the online account.

@Capricorngirly  Another incomplete answer from AT&T. I just checked my History on MyATT and it goes back one year to 1/18/23. Using Custom Billing, the earliest range I can start from is Jan 2023. Maybe one has to call Billing and ask (pay) for billing/usage for the previous 7 years.

AT&T keeps records for up to 7 years. That is not available online through the app. I suspect they simply mixed up what is on the app vs calling in for reprints.

All, you need to keep calling customer service until you find someone competent to initiate ordering reprints. It’s ridiculous how tedious the process is. It took me 7 calls and hours to accomplish this. Factually, you can only retrieve the past 16 months online or through the app. It takes 7-10 business days to get the reprints via USPS. They cannot be sent electronically. Speaking firsthand here, anything else posted is false.

Only one poster including something that was "false" where they claimed the 6-7 years was on the app, when in fact that far back you have to call. Everything else stated has been true and matched what you finally got ordered. It is unfortunate you had to go through so many calls to get this done, which seems to happen all too often with this request as shown by other threads in the forum.

Just hope they ordered the detailed reprints correctly. If you get just the basic summary instead, file with the BBB at that time. Otherwise good days ahead.

My answer was not as detailed by me saying you can get the same info online does not include the bill reprints of up to 7 years that has to be requested for. It's alright to correct someone without being rude about it. I'm sure we are all about to correction.

   It shouldn't take 7 contacts to get this done.  Account owners also shouldn't be told they'd need to get a subpoena for their own records when they can prove the account is theirs.

Att CS needs to step up
