Payments.

At&T says I can get a $10 discount if I give them my checking account info for auto pay.  Is it safe, lets see, they were hacked not long ago. The hospital I work for has dealt with two cyber attacks in less than 5years. The first one was the payroll company they hired and now their computer system is down because of a direct cyber attack. We are paper charting like back in 1980. I currently pay online with a reloadable Now Card. How can At&t protect my checking account info if I give it to them to save $10 a month?

They can’t, anymore than they protected the other information that got stolen.  It’s up to you if you want to take the risk to save $10.  Personally, I don’t, and don’t use autopay.

Is that even built into your plan? Not all of the plans have auto pay and paperless billing discount built into their plan structure.

For example, if you are on an older plan prior to 2016, mobile share family or mobile share value plan, legacy unlimited  - there is no discount. Doesn't matter if you're on autopay or paperless. $0

The more current plans do have some kind of auto pay and paperless billing discount. You must have both.

The older unlimited plans from 2016 through 2018, including the unlimited plus plan has either a $10 (single line) or $20 (multi line)autopay discount for the entire account..

The current plans,  unlimited your way which include elite, premium, extra, starter, have a $10 per phone line, auto pay and paperless billing discount with debit or checking. Value Plus plan and the 4 gig plan. Also have a $10 auto pay and paperless billing discount with debit or checking.

The auto pay paperless billing discount is cut in half if you use a credit card.  ($5)
