Real Rate $40 More Than Quote

I decided to upgrade devices based on the current offer. I went into a store and the manager quoted new rate. A sales associate  began to process the order. I asked after the sale was completed to confirm the mgr’s price. She said the mgr would have to do so and she left. I asked to have the mgr call me with the quote. Two days - no call. I called ATT directly and realized my new rate is $40 more than the quote. When O called the store mgr, she was rude and dismissive stating  “Your price is what I quoted. I don’t know what you are talking about.”. She also stated I could return the devices and pay $55 each for restocking. I called ATT customer service thrice and was offered apologies for the bad service but no resolution. I sent a certified letter to CEO and COO - no response. This Friday will be 14 days, the return option will no longer be available. Clearly this mgr pulled a fast one and didn’t expect me to catch on u til the bull arrived after 14 days. The fact that ATT corporate has not intervened, explains why she feels empowered to dupe customers. I’m hesitant to go back into that store and encounter her wrath. I have been a customer a wireless customer for 24 years.

I assume that in order to get the phone promotions you have been forced to move to one of the new unlimited your way data plans, from a plan that did not qualify for the phone promotions.

If you are looking at the customer service summary, that is your plan before any discounts.

The published plans online include the auto pay and paperless billing discount via a debit card and checking account, as stated publicly on AT&T 's website. If you are not currently signed up for autopay and paperless billing with a debit card or checking account, you are not getting a $10 per line credit and you won't get it until your first bill is paid with autopay and paperless billing.

The bill credits on the phones also do not kick in for up to 90 days, and then will be retroactive.

If you have chosen the premium plan, and qualify for a discount, reducing the premium plan to the same cost as extra, which for five lines and less is a $10 per line discount, that also has to be verified and will be applied once verification has been completed.

This would probably be a more productive conversation if you told us what plan, how much you were quoted, and what you are seeing that is different by $40

WARNING: 14 days to return is inclusive, so you need to count the day you get it as day 1.
