Told Activation Fees would be waived and then after starting service, I was told NO

I am highly disappointed in your service right now AT&T. I was told (in a chat transcript  that I have saved in my email) that my activation fees would be waived. Low and behold I get my first bill and all 4 activation fees are on there totaling $120.00. I did online chat and was told that activation fees were not waived on my company discount and that I was simply mis-informed. I was then transferred to a manger that would not even really sympathize, just said I apologize there is nothing I can go and the chat receiver will be notified of this situation. I could care less that you need to coach your representatives more on how to read properly, what I care about is getting what I was told by your company. I was perfectly fine with Verizon Wireless and chose to give AT&T a try because a co-worker suggested you as a great company and I would really like to believe that but I am having a rather difficult time with that right now. I would like for you to make this right! I don't believe I am asking for much after paying $600+ on my first bill and after 24-months of payments it will be over $7K you have received from me.... Someone there at AT&T please have some decency to make this right and restore faith in your company. Thank you.

Sorry to say but that is a common complaint seen here, customers being told activation fees would be waived and then they aren’t. Also sorry to say, you won’t get them credited posting here, this is a customer to customer forum, not customer support. Your best chance to get those fees back is to file an FCC or BBB complaint.

Well I MUST report that AT&T made the right decision and decided to make things right! My faith has been restored and I am eager to see how service is the next 24 months! I really want to be a loyal customer to one cellular provider. I am hoping for a healthy relationship moving forward. We shall see!!! ❤️
