Trying to be patient

I have 5 phones and signed up for DirecTV.  I just switched to the unlimited plan when I started getting a $15 overage everyday.  The customer service was terrible and could only stay on script and was more that eager to sign me up for more services while not taking care of my issue.  The old AT&T would have removed the overages when I called to upgrade my package but not today!!  I thought that having several AT&T products and paying tens of thousand of dollars for ok service that I would be a prefered customer...wrong.  I cannot contact anyone that cares enough to listen to what I want done.  So four phone calls of at least a half an hour each plus the time online I would say a day tied up in trying to find good service.  All for $120 on a six hundred dollar billing.  I wish I felt there was someplace to go or to call but each time I call it is the same story.  Maybe if I put profit above service in my business I wouldn't have to worry about overages, but my clients come first as well as their satisfaction.

Has anyone had luck getting out of contracts with AT&T, if they can't listen and fix they don't need my business.

@malibusteve AT&T hasn't been doing cellular phone contracts, so if you're on one, it's likely to be running out in the next 6 months.

Are you saying you got overages for 8 days straight? (You said "daily")

I know you want the charges waived, I would too, but you haven't said they are not valid charges.

Are they from before you switched? or are you really not on unlimited?

If you have the overages because you want over the data limit that your account has (the amount you chose to pay for), if you have any rollover from last month, you even used that too.

Have you tried to request that they backdate the unlimited plan to the beginning of the cycle, which would then take care of those overages?

In the past I have been able to call customer service and request a change in my plan that has taken effect the same day.  I called about the overages ( I believe one or two at the time) and was recommended to upgrade to the unlimited and save on my Directv and get a free tablet.....  I agreed and received the tablet the day after all the time getting an overage everyday and calling every other day to have it fixed.  I found out that when you bundle with AT&T it makes you account harder to make changes to the the system so instead of being rewarded for your depth of products your account becomes a hot mess.  Finally I spoke with a rep that understood but said that she couldn't make changes until the charges were billed out. I waited and called again once I received the bill and after reading all the notes in the system the rep agreed.  Now my account is supposed to have a manager on my issue but I haven't heard anything from AT&T about my case.  I am supposed to be backdated but I am really tired of calling and being expected to know more than the rep on how to solve my problem.  I even tried pressing "0" to get up the CSR ladder but it doesn't work.  My local AT&T can't get into my account because of the hot mess and I cannot get to anyone at AT&T with enough care and experience to fix this.  My $120 issue may cost me $500-600 to get out of all the AT&T products I have and at least I would feel good writing that check.
