What happens to installment credits after transferring upgrade eligibility
I want to transfer upgrade eligibility from line A to B. Line A is paid in full with no installments due. Line B has a balance that is being paid on installments and also gets monthly credits from an old trade in. I understand the installment balance will transfer to line A after transferring the upgrade eligibility to line B. Will the remaining monthly credits for the old trade in also transfer to line B?

Hi there @Brink, we'll be happy to clarify the transfer process of upgrade eligibility.
To transfer line A's upgrade eligibility to line B, you'll need to have line A take responsibility of line B's remaining installment plan and then upgrade line B. We have an example of how this would work on our transfer upgrade eligibility page, underneath the If your smartphone isn't on an installment plan section.
The promotional credits that were on line B will be void and won't transfer over, as they'll need to be on the same line throughout the entire installment plan for all of them to be applied.

I'm not aware of a way that eligibility is "transferred" (even though it might be called that unofficially). I think the Line A upgrade would just be used to buy a phone that is used by Line B. Even if there is a process I'm not familiar with, you could just do that yourself without involving AT&T. You don't have to worry about an employee messing something up and causing you to lose the promo, which unfortunately is always a possibility. That would make your question moot.

You can't move installments. Upgrading the line with installments that's receiving credits with void future credits.
