Why at&t is not able to verify my address?
Hi,
I am a new AT&T customer and I am really frustrated that AT&T could not verify my address (which gave me a really good impression of AT&T /s). I have provided each and every details but it kept saying that we cannot verify. I have even placed an Order for the online deal for $25/month 8 GB data with my friend's address (which got verified by the system) and the order got cancelled later in the evening. I even called Customer Care for changing my address (even before purchasing, i had a chat with a customer rep. and they said i could easily change my address if i contact the e-com department) but all they did was transferring me to different department and even the ecom department transferred me as well. AT&T even could not provide me a valid reason about why my order got cancelled. Please fix this issue for me as i really need to switch my cellular service. And i want an immediate solution to this and PLEASE DO NOT PROVIDE ME ANYMORE HOTLINE NUMBERS. I AM TIRED OF GETTING MY CALL TRANSFERRED SO MANY TIMES.

Check with your local post office to find out why your address is not being excepted. You cannot use a PO Box. You must have a physical address and it must be the excepted address by your local post office.

Hi Lizdance40,
Thanks for responding back! I have ordered items from amazon, have received packages through both UPS and FedEx and i seriously had no problem with verifying my address. But it is just AT&T who is not able to verify my address which to me seems really weird as this is an address to an apartment and definitely there are people are customers of AT&T.

It’s probably best to go to an AT&T store. You might not get an online promo, but you’ll have someone able to help you.
